‘Ask & Tell’ What, Though?

You’ve gotta admit — the innovativeness and marketing prowess of urban gays is impressive.
Will Return After This Commercial Break
I’m momentarily interrupting this photography marathon to make a small, life/work-related announcement.

Sadly, my internship at Gawker’s video department and Gawker.TV came to an official end recently. But that doesn’t necessarily mean my tenure at Gawker Media is over quite yet.
That said, I’m very excited to share that beginning this month, I’ll be interning for John Cook — Gawker.com’s super-awesome investigative reporter.
John previously wrote for Radar and The Chicago Tribune before joining Gawker’s masthead early last year. Since then, his posts have consistently been some of my favorite material on the site.
Investigative reporting is, of course, the kind of journalism I’m interested in doing professionally, so I’m very excited to get some experience under the tutelage of a so-called “old school reporter,” especially one who’s made the leap from long-form print journalism to blogging and the Internet.
I will, of course, still contribute to Gawker.TV here and there, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, I’ll be sure to share whatever cool investigative projects I’ll be helping John with over at Gawker proper.
A Family Vacation In 1,300 Pictures, Pt II
As promised, a few more photos from my family’s visit. These were (obviously) taken on the Brooklyn Bridge. More »
A Family Vacation in 1,300 Pictures (or Less)
I’ve been kind of AWOL for the past two weeks because my mom and cousin were visiting with me for the holidays.
Now, my cousin had never been to New York, so this visit meant I had to play tour guide for a lot of locations throughout the city. Which also meant taking a lot of photos (like, over 1,300).
Fortunately, I’ve narrowed it down to my few dozen favorites, and I’ll be posting a few sets at a time over the weekend (although they’re all available on my Flickr stream if you’re so inclined).
In the meantime, enjoy these. More »
