Some More Snow Pictures

written by Sergio Hernandez

So we got our first real snowfall last night, and this morning I dragged myself out of bed at 8 a.m. and trudged through downtown in a foot of unplowed snow to try and grab some good photos before the rest of New York awoke to ruin it.

These are the space heaters at Shake Shack. You can see my friend Alex, one of the managers at Shake Shack, turning on one of the heaters towards the back. Even though Shake Shack doesn’t open until 11, the staff was there early to receive their food delivery and start dealing with the snow.

Some more benches, but in Union Square.

The Union Square Holiday Market peeps were also out, shoveling snow and trying to clear the walkways so they could open for business.

Some Christmas decorations on a brownstone on… 10th Street, I think?

There’s cars under there, I swear.

And another shallow DOF shot of… well, a branch and some pinecones affixed to a fence outside my building, I guess.

Several more shots in my Snowpocalypse ‘09 set on Flickr.
